Your first 30 days on Wasal: incubation
Once your store goes live, a Wasal advisor supports you for 30 days: the scheduled calls, what each one covers and how to get ready for them.
On this page
For the 30 days after your store goes live, you are in incubation. A Wasal advisor helps you make a success of your first sales. Here is what to expect.
Incubation at a glance
- When: from the day your store goes live until day 30.
- Who: an incubation advisor is assigned to you automatically after your store goes live.
- How: by phone, at no more than four key stages of the month, and after certain first events.
- Next: after day 30, your follow-up is handled by your account manager.
Your advisor calls you: you do not need to contact them. Just keep your phone reachable during this first month.
The check-ins of your first month
Each check-in is planned from a given day after your store goes live (D). Your advisor calls you within the following business days.
D+1 — The welcome call
Your advisor checks your details: contact, collection address, RIB (bank account details) and identity verification (KYC). They then explain how to process an order, from receipt until the courier collects it.
D+8 — The first-week check-in
What the call covers depends on where you stand. There are four possible cases: no products live, no sales yet, late or cancelled orders, or first sales processed.
With no sales, for instance, your advisor reviews the price and photos of your key products with you. If your first sales have been processed, they explain the payment cycle. If some orders have fallen behind, they go back over the processing steps with you.
D+15 — Catalogue optimisation
This check-in only takes place if you still have few products live. As at D+8, what it covers adapts to your situation; the focus is on your catalogue.
D+30 — The review
Your advisor takes stock of your first month: products live, views, sales. They confirm the end of incubation and the handover to your account manager.
Calls tied to your first events
On top of these check-ins, your advisor may call you after three first events, if there is still something to be done:
| Event | What your advisor does |
|---|---|
| Your first order | Makes sure you have seen it and guides you through to handing it over to the courier. |
| Your first stock-out | Works out the cause with you, then helps you restock the product or take it offline. See Managing stock and variants. |
| Your first return | Explains the reason for the return, helps you arrange for the product to come back to you and shows you how to open a claim. |
Do not leave your first order waiting: process it promptly. A W-Comfort order that is not Ready to pick 24 hours after its processing time is cancelled automatically. So is a W-Now order not accepted within 75 minutes.
Getting the most out of incubation
- Have your details ready: keep your RIB and identity verification documents to hand for the welcome call.
- Polish your key products: great photos and a competitive price make the difference from the very first days.
- Install the seller app: if you allow its notifications, it alerts you the moment an order comes in.
- Write down your questions: every call is a chance to ask them. Between calls, seller support is available on 05 22 09 43 43.
