Understanding how your Wasal payment works
Twice-monthly 15/30 cycle, commissions by sub-category, bank details at onboarding: everything a Wasal seller needs to know about how payments work.

Before reviewing your invoices, it helps to understand how Wasal calculates what it owes you and on what schedule it pays you. This article covers the conceptual basics — for day-to-day tracking, see Track your payments.
The lifecycle of an order through to payment
A sale only becomes a bank transfer once it has cleared several stages:
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Order placed | The order is created, the customer payment is secured |
| Shipment confirmed | The parcel is picked up by the carrier |
| Delivery confirmed | The customer has received the product |
| Return window elapsed | The sale is validated and eligible for the next transfer |
| Transfer completed | The net amount (price — commission) is paid to your bank account |
The customer's cancellation window is 7 days after delivery. Once this window passes with no return reported, the sale is counted in the next settlement cycle.
Commissions: one rate per sub-category
Wasal applies a different commission rate depending on the product sub-category. There is no fixed rate per major family: each sub-category has its own schedule.
In the Seller Portal, click My store in the left-hand menu, then select the Commission tab.
The list displays all sub-categories with their associated rate.
Look up your product sub-category to find out exactly which rate applies to you.
The commission is calculated on the sale price including tax, excluding shipping fees.
Your bank account details
Your bank details are entered only once, at onboarding, when your seller account is created. There is no standalone edit page in the portal.
To change your bank details after onboarding, contact your account manager at 05 22 09 43 43.
Incorrect bank details block all transfers. If you think you entered an incorrect IBAN during registration, contact support right away to fix it before the next settlement cycle.
VAT and tax obligations
Wasal payments are net of commission, but your VAT and corporate tax (IS) obligations are entirely your responsibility. To understand your reporting obligations as a Moroccan seller, see the article Wasal seller taxation.
In the event of a dispute or delay
If an expected transfer does not arrive on the scheduled date:
- First check in My invoices that the invoice status is indeed Paid
- Wait an additional 3 business days for interbank processing times
- If the deadline has passed, call your account manager at 05 22 09 43 43
