Preparing a parcel
Careful packaging reduces returns and improves your seller rating.
Choose the right container — Rigid cardboard box for fragile items, padded mailer for clothing, bubble envelope for small articles.
Protect the product — Use bubble wrap, tissue paper, or corrugated cardboard to secure the contents. The product must not move around inside the parcel.
Seal it securely — Use wide adhesive tape. Double up the seals if the parcel is heavy.
Attach the label — Place the shipping label clearly visible on the largest face. Cover it with transparent tape to protect it from moisture.
Slip a small thank-you note into the parcel. This simple gesture encourages positive reviews and repeat purchases.
Fragile products
For fragile items (ceramics, electronics, glass):
- Wrap each piece individually
- Add at least 5 cm of protection around the product
- Write "FRAGILE" on at least 2 faces of the parcel
- Test the sturdiness: a well-prepared parcel can withstand a 1-metre drop
Wasal does not reimburse products damaged due to insufficient packaging. Responsibility lies with the seller.
Meeting deadlines
Shipping times directly affect your seller rating:
| Timeframe | Impact |
|---|---|
| Shipped within 24h | Excellent — boosts your ranking |
| Shipped within 48h | Acceptable |
| Beyond 48h | Risk of automatic cancellation |
You receive a notification for every new order. Confirm it within 24 hours to avoid automatic cancellation.
Tracking and delivery
Once the parcel has been handed over to the carrier:
- Enter the tracking number in your Wasal dashboard
- The buyer automatically receives delivery updates
- Upon receipt, the buyer confirms and your payment is triggered
Sellers who consistently enter the tracking number have a satisfaction rate 25% higher than others.
