Commissions and fees explained
How commissions work by sub-category, payment and packaging fees on Wasal, and where to check the rates applied to your products.

Commissions by sub-category
Commissions are calculated on the price including tax displayed on the platform (excluding delivery fees). They do not apply to returned or undelivered orders.
There is no single rate per broad product family: each sub-category (more than 200 in total) has its own commission rate. To view the schedule applied to your products:
Log in to the Seller Portal and open My store in the left-hand menu.
Select the Commission tab: the complete schedule is displayed, with a filter by category name or by universe to quickly find your sub-category.
If you sell across several categories, the applicable commission is the one for the product's category, not an overall average. To understand how commissions are deducted from your payments, see Understanding your payments.
Payment fees
Payment fees depend on the payment method chosen by the customer — Moroccan bank card, foreign bank card, or cash on delivery (COD) — and are your responsibility. The rates in effect for each method are detailed in your contractual terms and visible in the Seller Portal.
These fees are calculated automatically in the Seller Portal and appear in your balance.
Packaging fees
Wasal requires compliance with packaging guidelines to ensure a good customer experience. A fixed packaging fee applies to each order; the rate in effect can be viewed in the Seller Portal.
Packaging fees are deducted automatically from your transfers. Review the packaging guidelines in the Seller Portal to avoid any issues.
Marketing services (optional)
Wasal offers paid marketing services (product promotion, advertising, etc.). These services are optional:
- A quote is provided beforehand
- The fees are billed separately
- Any late payment results in a surcharge set out in the contract
Logistics services (optional)
Consignment logistics services may be offered. If you are interested:
- A quote is provided beforehand
- If you agree, the fees are incorporated into the financial contract
Calculating your net earnings
Here is how to calculate what you receive for each sale. The figures below are purely illustrative — your actual rates are those shown in My store → Commission and in your contractual terms:
Sale price including tax displayed on the platform (example: 300 MAD)
Minus the commission for the product's sub-category (assuming a fictitious rate of 10%: -30 MAD)
Minus the payment fees according to the method chosen by the customer (example: -4 MAD)
Minus the packaging fees per order (example: -3 MAD)
Your net earnings: 300 - 30 - 4 - 3 = 263 MAD in this example
Rate changes
Wasal reserves the right to modify commission rates. You will be notified 1 month before the annual renewal date. If you do not agree, you may opt out within the timeframe set out in the contract.
