GMV (Gross Merchandise Value)
The total amount of all your orders before deducting commissions, returns and fees. The first KPI on the analytics dashboard.
GMV stands for Gross Merchandise Value, meaning the gross value of the merchandise sold. It is the total amount of all your orders, before deducting Wasal commissions, returns and fees: in other words, your gross revenue on the marketplace.
For example, if you have collected 100 orders averaging 150 MAD, your GMV is 15,000 MAD — even though the amount ultimately paid out to your account will be lower.
On Wasal, GMV is one of the three KPIs displayed at the top of your analytics dashboard, alongside Average Basket and Payouts. It shows a running total since your store opened.
Compare your GMV to your Payouts: the gap between the two gives you a sense of the weight of commissions and returns.
