Credit Note
A credit accounting document issued after a return or refund. It is deducted from the amounts Wasal owes you.
A credit note is a credit accounting document: it cancels or reduces an invoice that has already been issued, usually following a product return or a customer refund. Unlike an invoice, which records an amount owed to you, a credit note records an amount to be deducted.
For example, if a customer returns an item that has already been invoiced, a credit note corrects the situation: the corresponding amount is deducted from the sums owed to you.
On Wasal, returns and refunds therefore reduce the net amount of your upcoming payments. You can track your returns in the My returns section of the Seller Portal.
Keep your credit notes together with your invoices: your accountant needs them to justify each correction in your revenue ledger.
